Atonement-Free Faith

A multimillion-dollar ministry overflowing with positivity, charm and a focus on atonement-free faith will fill the 50,000 seats of the Chicago White Sox ball park this Saturday night.  As a former resident of Madison, Wisconsin; headquarters of the “Freedom From Religion Foundation;” people and organizations that devalue the atoning blood of my savior; make my blood boil. 

The whole concept of separation of church and state is nowhere found in the United States Constitution. 

It is bad enough for an organization to focus on attacking people’s right to believe in God; but it is even more destructive for a Christian evangelists and organizations to deceive Christians into believing that there is nothing required of a Christian.  It would be just as ludicrous for Public Schools to say that there is nothing expected from their students.  The fact is; both Christian Churches and Public Schools are supposed to be developing disciples or students; transforming them into the products of their teachings.

The world of Christendom is trying to dispense with sin because it is not a popular concept.  People don’t want to talk about sin and law breaking.  They want to remove the law of God given to Moses. 

If the law were to be taken away from Christianity, then there would be no need for atoning blood and no need for a savior; our LORD would have died in vain.  This present generation wants to do as it pleases and pay no attention to consequences. 

It is easier to say that the law of God is done away with than to build character. 

Our society was built upon the law of God.  The Ten Commandments are the foundation of our local, state and national Statues and Ordinances.  No wants to have to live with the threat of armed robbery, murder and rape. 

No one wants to lose their mate to an adulterous affair either; but sexual sins that were once laws of this land have been taken off the books as being archaic. 

The results of sexual freedom have been an increase of sexually transmitted diseases and unwanted pregnancies.  The homes destroyed and the children’s lives that are turned upside down because one or both of their parents engaged in extra-marital relations; adultery; is hard to calculated because of its ever increasing numbers.

The front page of today’s Chicago Newspapers reported that same-sex households in Illinois are up 80%!  No doubt, these new households can go to Saturday night’s evangelistic campaign at the White Sox ball park and be mesmerized into the sweets smooth sounds of an atonement-free prosperity gospel message.

Isaiah 30:10 KJV Which say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits:

Ephesians 4:14 KJV That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

Many people will believe anything that promotes an easy life without responsibility; but that is not the way that leads to salvation.  A brief twenty to thirty years of pleasure can not prove worthwhile if the penalty will last for eternity!

Matthew 7:13-14 KJV  Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:  (14)  Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

This human life was given to us to qualify for eternal life by proving that we could be entrusted to live in unity and peace; both of which are only enjoyed by all when the rules are followed.  The law shows us our sin and established our need for atonement through the Savior Jesus Christ!  Show me atonement-free religion that leads to destruction and I’ll show you the atoning blood of Jesus that will lead to eternal life!
