1 Corinthians 15:31 KJV I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.
2 Corinthians 10:5 KJV Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
As you Jesus and the Father are one; let me be one with you LORD! Let me be broken that your strength may be perfect in all of my weakness. Break me and make me LORD! Renew your promises in me that others will see your glory. Draw me into your life Jesus; that miracles, signs and wonders would illuminate your glory; that others would be drawn into your life force and brilliant light.
John 14:12 KJV Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
Mark 16:17-18 KJV And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; (18) They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
My friends, this is the life that we are called to; but we must continue to diminish so that Christ in us through the Holy Ghost can be magnified! There has to come a point that we go for broke and invest 100% of our life in the LORD. He bought and paid for our lives with His blood. All of our lives belong to Him completely which means as we read above; bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ!
These words ring a powerful condemnation into my own ears as well. If we could only feel and taste the full experience of that which Paul is speaking; we would find an incredible change take place in everything that we do. It is ALL about our relationship with Jesus Christ. We need to fall in love with Him with a much more powerful love than we ever felt for another human being. A man and a woman are to become one flesh in their marriage.
Genesis 2:23-25 KJV And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. (24) Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. (25) And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.
In this scripture contains the physical blue print of a Spiritual Fulfillment in Christ.
Ephesians 5:25 KJV Husbands love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
Jesus Christ has come into us and has filled us with His Holy Spirit; we are the Church; we are the Bride of the Lamb, Christ Jesus. The Kingdom of God is growing in us in embryo form. We are ambassadors of Jesus Christ and His Kingdom.
2 Corinthians 5:20 KJV Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.
The Kingdom of God is alive and present in this dark world in us. That is why we are the light of the world. But we are holding back when Christ is looking for 100% surrender; bringing into captivity every thought!
We must go beyond putting sin away! We must go beyond putting the old man of sin to death! We must live the Gospel fully every day! That means die daily to sin; REPENT; renew being buried with Christ, renew your BAPTISM IN JESUS’ NAME by claiming the blood, pleading the blood in your life daily and pleading the blood for the lost; renew daily your BAPTISM IN THE HOLY GHOST; be refilled at least daily, praying in tongues morning, noon and night. Let the Holy Ghost be in the forefront of your mind.
Unfortunately, modern Christianity, in its effort to embrace the grace of Jesus Christ; has disregarded almost completely the Holy Days of God as being part of the ceremonial law of the sacrifices. Yes, Jesus is the sacrifice to end all sacrifices and He is LORD of the Sabbath and we enter into His rest 24/7; 365 days a year. Our Sabbath keeping is more than a day; it is our life; our way of life in the LORD. However, Paul even says; “Let us keep the Feast!”
1 Corinthians 5:8 KJV Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
We have lost a tradition that Paul and the original Apostles kept. They kept it because Jesus kept it. Jesus; and His Apostles, after His resurrection, kept the Feast Days of the LORD. In the above reference, Paul was bringing a New Testament meaning to an Old Testament tradition; the Feast of Unleavened Bread. Leaven has always been symbolic of sin to the Jew. As a part of Passover (the next day after Passover); for the next seven days, God commanded that ALL leaven bread be cast into the fire and that everyone had to eat unleavened bread. The symbolic meaning is that it is not just enough to put sin out, but as Paul says; we must eat the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth. Jesus is our unleavened bread. Whenever we partake of communion, it really should be with unleavened bread. The unleavened bread of our daily lives is the Holy Ghost! We must be filled and refilled daily with and in the Holy Ghost.
We want Miracles, Signs and Wonders, but we are not living in the anointing of the Holy Ghost. As we read in Mark above, they shall speak with new tongues; who? These signs shall follow them that believe! Part of living daily in the Gospel is praying daily (at least daily) in tongues; praying in the Holy Ghost. Paul said that he spoke (prayed) in tongues more than all of them.
1 Corinthians 14:18 KJV I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than ye all:
If we want to be truly apostolic and have miracles, signs and wonders follow us, then we must be 100% sold out for Christ! We must be 100% surrendered to Christ! We must be living 100% in the Holy Ghost. Can we take the Holy Ghost into our secret sins? Do we hide envy, lust, greed, hatred, pornography, sexual immorality, gossip and other sins from the church and community? Have worldly amusements taken time away from prayer, Bible study, meditation, church, fellowship and witnessing? You have been bought with a price and belong to Christ!
1 Corinthians 6:20 KJV For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.
Your body and your spirit; that which requires your mind and body; belong to God! We are human and we need sleep; food, clothing and shelter. God gives us resources to meet our needs and He gives us resources to do His work. What is the focus of your resources? Is your money, material possessions and your time focused on the Gospel; focused on your relationship with Jesus? Now is the time to examine yourself and ensure that your priorities are focused on Jesus Christ and the work of the Gospel. We live in a sin sick and dying world. We have the Great Commission to fulfill. Will the LORD say well done my good and faithful servant to you?
