The Tale Of A King And Two Of His Best Friends Part 4

These past three days we have been looking into the lives of the King (David) and two of his best friends.  Today we are going to look at the KING and two of his best friends, you and me.

The Bible is a living book and it will come to life in your hands, if you place it in your hearts and minds.  It is the greatest weapon ever created for warfare; both defensively and offensively.  It is the only real Peace Maker.  Samuel Colt’s version was a counterfeit.  The Bible is shaper than any two edged sword in battle and sharper than any tongue in diplomacy.  It is the perfect scale in which to weigh and discern all matters of law, life, liberty and the pathway to eternal joy.  It is immortal and we become immortal when we digest it.  Jesus, the King, calls us friends and share all with us.

John 15:15  Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.

The KING has given two of his best friends, you and me the summation of all and the source of all and the power of all.  The WORD is Christ and we are to be one with Him, in Him and through Him.  All we need is Jesus, the WORD!  Called to be Ambassadors, we must live in the WORD.

2 Corinthians 5:20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.

Ambassadors now, we are to become royalty.  There awaits for us a crown of life and we are to sit with Christ on His throne.

1 Peter 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.

James 1:12 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.

Revelation 3:21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

God’s entire creation is awesome and that is an understatement.  Some of His creation is invisible to the human eye, like the angelic and spiritual world and some is beyond the human eye either in its vastness or invisible to the human eye in its microscopic forms.  All is worthy of honor and praise; as all creation speaks to the the glory of God as the heavens do declare.

Psalms 19:1 To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.

Made in God’s image, we have five senses on a physical plane that God enjoys on a spiritual level.  In all of the universe, there is no other place, that man’s eye can see; that compares to our Earth.  God has given us this planet and dominion over it; for us to build a relationship with Him.

Genesis 1:28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

God has shown us His creative nature and his eye for beauty; and we are made just like Him, in His image.  God obviously loves beauty and color with variations that know no limits.  God has no limits.  So why do artists, theologians and the average person believe the Hollywood depiction of heaven and God’s throne being a place of stark white nothingness?  Even science knows that color comes from light and is a property of light with a vast unlimited spectrum of variation.  Not just cyan, magenta and yellow, but millions of variations of those three primary lights.  We are just talking about one of the five.  There are sound, feeling, tasting and hearing as well.  If we are to embrace an eternal friendship with the King, then we need to meditate on the real heaven; mediate on God’s nature and realize that the world to come has been previewed in the Earth’s creation now.  Reach out, touch, taste, see, hear and feel that God is good and God is real!  This excites me!
