Man Confirms Hell Exists
A man walked into the emergency room and collapsed with a massive heart attack. After a team of doctors tried to revive the man, he was pronounced dead by the cardiologist. A nurse started to prepare the body for the morgue and the cardiologist completed the report on the man. As the cardiologist left the unit, a voice told him to go back and pray for the man. At first he questioned what a prayer could do for a dead man; then the voice told him again to go back and pray for the man. Recognizing this as the voice of God, he went back to pray for the man out of obedience to the LORD. He told the other doctor there to shock the man again and he did. Immediately a perfect heart rate returned (this never happens with a deliberator). Three days later the man regained consciousness and had no signs of brain damage of organ damage. The cardiologist asked the man what he felt during the time he was dead and he said, “I was all alone in a very dark place and I was very disappointed because I was going to spend all eternity in this place.” His first hand testimony confirms hell; he experienced it. Others have as well. The man repented and invited Jesus Christ into his life. His full story is in a video reenactment found at:
The educated and liberal point of view is that God does not exist; that the Bible is a book of mythology; that the devil and the demonic world is a myth; and that there is no such place as hell for punishment of the wicked. The wicked are those who refuse to obey and worship Jesus as their LORD and savior. A professor friend of mine; the most brilliant scholar I know, was a fallen Catholic Brother turned atheist.
The teaching of hell being a place of punishment for the wicked is established in the Old Testament.
Psalms 9:17 The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.
The word for hell is sheol which comes from hades or the world of the dead: including its accessories and inmates Strong’s Dictionary
Jesus Christ confirmed that hell does exist and that souls could be destroyed in it.
Jesus also confirms in the story of Lazarus and the rich man; that there is a hell of tormenting fire and separation from Jesus and the righteous!
Matthew 10:28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
Luke 16:22-24 And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; (23) And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. (24) And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.
Some people can’t reconcile the God of mercy sending people to eternal torment; be it flames of hell or hell of outer darkness and separation. Yet God is a just God and His Justice cries out that the greatness of His righteousness should have an equal counter part for wickedness. The wondrous gift of eternal life in the glorious Kingdom of God would be cheapened if there were no punishment for those who reject it. The greatest gift of the cross; the suffering and death of Jesus commands such a punishment.
Our world knows of Christ and the Gospel. Stop any one on the street and they could tell you about Heaven and Hell and Jesus Christ; even if they don’t believe in Jesus. Many mock the Bible, Jesus, heaven’s gift of eternal life in paradise and the reward for those who overcome. The world has had access to the Gospel; they have had the right to choose Jesus or the world. The Bible is clear on holiness; both Old and New Testaments.
Leviticus 20:7 Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be ye holy: for I am the LORD your God.
1 Peter 1:16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.
God gives us free choice. He doesn’t want to go against our will; but there is only one way that leads to life in the Kingdom of God. All other paths lead to hell and damnation. The choice is yours!
