More Than A Way To Heaven

Salvation is more than just avoiding hell.  It is more than a way to heaven.  The truly saved are completely convinced that Jesus is the only way and they are completely sold out for the LORD with an unbreakable commitment to live at one with the Eternal, Almighty God and in unity with His creation.  Christian Churches are filled every week with individuals to whom God is not real.  They don’t know Him.  They have not read His WORD.  They only pray in church once a week.  Their Bibles are dusty and dry rotten from lack of use or they are pristine and new with pages stuck together from gold edging because the book is only a symbol and not a reality.

Friends, there is no mystery.  The Bible is the living WORD of God and the LORD will speak to you through it.  It is not old, archaic or obsolete.  It will come alive every time you read it if the Spirit of Jesus lives within you.  The teachings and principles will connect with your soul and lead you in a close personal relationship with Jesus if you are truly seeking the LORD and desire to become Christ-like.  Early in my Christian walk, while still a teenager; it became clear to me that there is only one way to live; even if there were no promise of eternal life.  If this human life of 70 to 80 years was all that there was; living by the law of love; God’s law; is the only way to find fulfillment.  The whole world would be at peace and live in abundance if we loved God above all and loved our fellow man as our self.  This is the only way.

When we come to the point of loving God’s law because we love Him; and we are completely convinced that Jesus is the only way; then we will have aligned our self with eternity and have become one with Jesus Christ.  We were created in the image of God for the purpose of growing and transforming into His character. 

FELLOWSHIPPING WITH PERSONS OF GOOD CHARACTER

Most good citizens would not have much to talk about with a convicted murderer, rapist, thief or anyone who was convicted of aggravated and assault with a deadly weapon.   People tend to want to spend time with individuals of like interest as well as character.  There was a time when whole towns would shun a person of low moral character.  Of course, that was back before our governmental leaders were being paraded across the news and into our living room televisions confessing their later act of sexual misconduct.  That was before teachers of our children could openly live in a romantic relationship outside of marriage.  Now, same sex unions are being discussed in our children’s Social Studies Classes.  There was a time when society didn’t tolerate low moral character.  My belief is that 51% of us still want to spend our time with those who have the same moral values as we do.

GOD WANTS FELLOWSHIP WITH INDIVIDUALS OF GODLY CHARACTER!

2 Corinthians 6:14-18 ESV Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?  (15)  What accord has Christ with Belial? Or what portion does a believer share with an unbeliever?  (16)  What agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; as God said, "I will make my dwelling among them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.  (17)  Therefore go out from their midst, and be separate from them, says the Lord, and touch no unclean thing; then I will welcome you,  (18)  and I will be a father to you, and you shall be sons and daughters to me, says the Lord Almighty."

We were created for conversation with God.  To talk, work and play with God; just as we want to talk, work and play with each other.  God had this desire long before creation; long before human beings.  It is a Godly desire of the Creator and Eternal, Most High God.  We are here for the LORD, for His good pleasure.  Salvation is the means by which God is bringing many children into a family relationship.  You can have a part in this glorious blessing.  But you must be a true believer in “The Way,” as it was known in the first century church.  The Way is the Gospel; THE DEATH, BURIAL & RESURRECTION OF JESUS CHRIST.  True believers will enter the Gospel by REPENTANCe (die to sin, turn away from the world and turn to Jesus); BAPTISM in JESUS’ NAME & BAPTISM IN THE HOLY GHOST.  You need to find an Apostolic Pentecostal Church TODAY!
